Here are the standard instructions for updating the license file on your
server. Be sure to save a copy of the original since you will revert to
it when the training is over.
Replace the existing license.dat file in the C:\FLEXLM folder on your
license server with this one. If the license has been altered (for
example, by adding firewall ports or changing the IP address/hostname),
then you will want to merge the changes into the new license first. Then
use lmtools.exe (in the same folder) to get the server to recognize it:
1. Open the tool by double-clicking on it.
2. On the first tab - "Service/License File", make sure that the
"Configuration using Services" radiobutton is selected, along
with the Partek FLEXlm Service in the white box.
3. Go to the "Start/Stop/Reread" tab. You should see the same
Partek FLEXlm Service highlighted in the white box. Then click
the "ReRead License File" button. After a moment, a success
message should be displayed at the bottom of the dialog.
Here is a link to the latest build (from April 14) to install on the
training computers:
http://www.partek.com/customers/03Jan08/setupPGS.6.08.0414.exe
And finally, here's a link to the training data:
http://www.partek.com/training/data/Microarray_Libraries.zip
http://www.partek.com/training/data/Partek_Training_Data.zip
For the sake of uniformity, and to avoid confusion, have each extracted
directly to C:\. This will create:
C:\Microarray Libraries
and
C:\Partek Training Data
These are fairly big, so the download might take a while.
Let me know if you have any questions or problems.
Thanks,
