Patient 3 is a 26 year old woman with numerous fibroids. (Her angiogram looks different from the others because computer enhancement has removed the bony structures and made the x-ray dye black instead of white).

	a) this image shows numerous large vessels feeding the fibroid.

	b) this image was taken a few seconds later, and shows a lumpy, nodular appearance to the uterus. Each of these lumps corresponds to an individual fibroid.

	c) this image shows that embolization is effective in blocking blood flow, even when multiple fibroids are present.
