From Lake Oswego/Sellwood Bridge Area

  1. Travel north on S.W. Macadam Avenue.
  2. Turn left onto S.W. Boundary Street.
  3. Proceed one block and turn right onto S.W. Corbett Avenue.
  4. Turn left onto S.W. Hamilton Street.
  5. Turn right onto S.W. Barbur Boulevard and continue for approximately 2.5 miles.
  6. At the second light past the YMCA (on the left), make a sharp left turn onto S.W. Caruthers Street.
  7. Turn left at the second light onto S.W. 6th Avenue.
  8. Follow the directions listed below to the 3 Diamond Parking Lot

Alternative Route from the Lake Oswego Area

  1. Travel north on S.W. Boones Ferry Road.
  2. Turn left onto S.W. Terwilliger Boulevard.
  3. Turn right onto S.W. Barbur Boulevard and continue for approximately 2.5 miles.
  4. At the second light past the YMCA (on the left), make a sharp left turn onto S.W. Caruthers Street.
  5. Turn left at the second light onto S.W. 6th Avenue.
  6. Follow the directions listed below to the to the 3 Diamond Parking Lot

From the West

  1. Travel east on Hwy. 26/Sunset Hwy.
  2. Stay in the right lane and follow the signs to I-405 (Salem/The Dalles).
  3. After passing through the Vista Ridge tunnel, stay to the right as the freeway branches.
  4. Take the S.W. 6th Avenue exit. Turn right onto S.W. 6th Avenue.
  5. Follow the directions listed below to the to the 3 Diamond Parking Lot.

From the East

  1. Travel west on I-84 to the juncture with I-5.
  2. Follow I-5 south toward Salem. As you cross the Marquam Bridge, merge into one of the two left lanes, following the signs to City Center/Beaverton.
  3. Take the S.W. 6th Avenue exit.
  4. Immediately move to the left lane and turn onto S.W. College Street (or the next possible street that allows a left turn.)
  5. Turn left onto S.W. Broadway Avenue and move to the right lane.
  6. Bear right onto S.W. 6th Avenue, following signs to OHSU.
  7. Follow the directions listed below to the to the 3 Diamond Parking Lot

From the South via I-5

  1. Travel north on I-5.
  2. Take exit 297 (Terwilliger Boulevard).
  3. Turn left at stop light onto S.W. Terwilliger Boulevard.
  4. Turn right onto S.W. Barbur Boulevard and continue for approximately 2.5 miles.
  5. At the second light past the YMCA, make a sharp left turn onto S.W. Caruthers Street.
  6. Turn left onto S.W. 6th Avenue.
  7. Follow the directions listed below to the to the 3 Diamond Parking Lot.

From the South using SW Barbur Blvd.

  1. Travel north on S.W. Barbur Blvd.
  2. At the second light past the YMCA (on the left), make a sharp left turn onto S.W. Caruthers Street.
  3. At the second light, turn left onto S.W. 6th Avenue.
  4. Follow the directions listed below to the to the 3 Diamond Parking Lot.

From the Southeast

  1. Travel north on S.E. McLoughlin Boulevard or west on S.E. Powell Boulevard.
  2. After crossing the Ross Island Bridge, take the City Center exit.
  3. Follow S.W. Corbett Avenue, staying in the left lane. S.W. Corbett will turn into S.W. Kelly, then into S.W. Arthur, and finally into S.W. Caruthers before ending at S.W. 6th Avenue.
  4. Turn left onto S.W. 6th Avenue.
  5. Follow the directions listed below to the to the 3 Diamond Parking Lot.

From the North

  1. Travel south on I-5 toward Salem.
  2. As you cross the Marquam Bridge, merge into one of the two left lanes, following signs to City Center/Beaverton.

  1. Travel southeast on Hwy. 30 (St. Helens Road) toward City Center, following signs to I-405.
  2. Take I-405 south.
  3. Take the S.W. 6th Avenue exit.
  4. Turn right on S.W. 6th Avenue, following the signs to OHSU.
  5. Follow the directions listed below to the to the 3 Diamond Parking Lot.

General Directions to the OHSU Farmers Market Location

Look for the 3 diamond lot (Gold Lot aka Lot 83)
  1. After following the appropriate driving directions listed above, continue on S.W. 6th Avenue.
  2. Continue straight up the hill on S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road (do NOT turn left at the Gas Station onto S.W. Terwilliger Blvd.)
  3. Pass Shriners Children's Hospital on your right and pass the Emergency Room on your left.
  4. At the fork with the parking info booth- bear right.
  5. If you want to get a parking pass, stop at info booth. ½ day passes cost $6 and enable you to park in designated OHSU parking structures. If you want to park on the street, bear right at the info booth intersection.
  6. Look for the parking lot with 3 gold diamonds. The Farmers Market is just to the right of the 3 gold diamond lot. If you get to the Plaid Pantry, you have gone too far.
  7. Park on the street anywhere near the 3 diamond lot. There is 2 hour visitor parking on the main and side streets.

Bus Lines

TriMet bus 8, which runs about every 20 minutes from the downtown Portland transit mall, provides direct service to OHSU. During rush hour only, additional TriMet buses serve OHSU, including 61X, 64X, 65X, 66X and 68.

Aerial Tram

The Portland Aerial Tram connects Portland's new South Waterfront neighborhood and the OHSU Center for Health & Healing with Marquam Hill. The upper terminus connects to the Kohler Pavilion and provides easy access to all buildings and services on Marquam Hill. The lower terminus is next to the OHSU Center for Health & Healing, which houses multiple doctor's offices, March Wellness Center, and an Optical Shop, retail pharmacy and deli.

Bike Map
  1. Take SW Broadway St to 6th Ave, turn Right onto 6th.
  2. Turn left at Terwilliger Blvd (at the gas station. Begin your climb!)
  3. Take your first right at SW Campus Dr. (look for the tram overhead.)
  4. Stay on campus drive until you come to a "T" with SW Sam Jackson Pk. Rd. Turn left.
  5. Congratulations, you made it! Follow the signs to the Farmers Market.

Patients, and friends and family of patients who are in OHSU's hospitals, may park for free in designated areas on Marquam Hill Campus. Patient/visitor parking areas are located in the Physicians Pavilion, Kohler Pavilion, Casey Eye Institute, near Doernbecher Children's Hospital, and in Sam Jackson Parking Garage across from the Emergency Department. If you have additional questions, please call OHSU Parking at 503 494-8283.

All other visitors to OHSU must park in the metered parking area on the top level of Sam Jackson Parking Garage, or purchase a parking pass in the Parking Information Booth on S.W. U.S. Veterans Hospital Road at the intersection with S.W. Sam Jackson Park Road.
