OHSU Center for Ethics in Health Care Assistant Director Criteria
Assistant Directors have primary administrative oversight for directing a OCfEHC program or activity. Assistant Directors are appointed by invitation of the Executive Group and may have a term of appointment that correlates with a specific program or project. To be considered for Assistant Directorship, a candidate must:
1 Have a graduate degree in a discipline related to health care or health care ethics.
2 Have demonstrated expertise in the program or activity for which the Assistant Directorship is being considered, including, but not limited to:
a. Formal education or certification in ethics
b. Experience in an ethics-related field or activity
c. Scholarly activity
d. Fund raising
3. Have a primary appointment in a health care or academic institution (Note: this need not be OHSU).
