Network Contact (NC) Program Home
The Network Contact (NC) Program is unique to OHSU and is a valuable
program for both Network Services and end users
alike. Network Contacts are the single point
of contact between end users and Network Services.
In order to become a Network Contact, the following conditions must be met:
- One NC is allowed per 15-20 Users (this includes one backup NC)
- The designated NC is a Permanent Employee of OHSU (Temporary Employees/Students are not eligible)
- Department Manager Approval
For details on the NC Program please see the
NC
Orientation and Procedures Manual available
on this site.
Currently IT Training and The ITG HelpDesk
work in conjunction to coordinate and administer
the NC Program.

The Network Contact class descriptions can be found by clicking

A Network Contact 1 must take the NC Orientation. A Network Contact
2 must take the NC Orientation, followed by the NC: Basic Troubleshooting
Skills and NC: Understanding the OHSU Workstation classes in
any order.
Network Contact meetings
Network Contact meetings are currently scheduled
on the second Thursday of each month from 9:30-11:00
a.m. (location varies, announcements are
sent via e-mail). They serve to keep NC's abreast
of changes on the network and provide an opportunity
to learn from other Network Contacts. These
meetings can also be seen via streaming video
at www.ohsu.edu/bicc-edcomm/streamingvideo.html.
