Teaching

All of the faculty in the NW Clinic for Voice & Swallowing provide ongoing instruction to individuals at OHSU’s medical and nursing schools, other graduate training programs and to professionals within the community.

If you are a licensed Speech Pathologist interested in obtaining one-on-one training in Stroboscopy, Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evlauation of Swallowing or in changing the Tracheoesophageal Voice Prosthesis (TEP) please contact Donna Graville regarding rates and availability by one of the means below.

We do not currently offer a Clinical Fellowship (CF) position for Speech Pathology graduates but have plans to do so again in the future. Please contact Donna Graville if you have questions regarding availability.

For graduate students in Speech Pathology who are interested in an internship at the NW Clinic for Voice and Swallowing, internships are offered in the Fall, Winter and Spring quarters. Internships are typically 4 days per week for 11 weeks. There are two tracks within the internship program: Voice Disorders or Swallowing Disorders and Head-and-Neck Cancer Rehabilitation. Students are strongly advised to have completed a previous internship in a medical setting if they are interested in the latter track. Applicants are usually required to submit a letter of interest, an unofficial transcript and a Curriculum Vitae documenting their clinical experience to-date. Students from the Pacific Northwest are interviewed by one or more members of the department. If you have other questions or wish to apply for an internship, please contact:
