Carol MacArthur, MD

Dr. MacArthur joined the Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at OHSU in 2002. She comes from Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) and the University of California, Irvine in Orange, California where she was in practice for 11 years. She received her medical degree at UCLA. She completed her training in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, Davis. Dr. MacArthur also completed a Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship at Harvard Medical School/Boston Children's Hospital, in Boston, Massachusetts before beginning her practice in 1991. Dr. MacArthur is currently on staff at Doernbecher Children's Hospital.

As part of the Pediatrics Department at Doernbecher Children's Hospital, Dr. MacArthur, and the rest of the Otolaryngology Department, is committed to Family Centered Care. This concept recognizes the central importance of the family in the well-being and care of a child. Parents are given complete information to allow them to make an informed decision that is compatible with the beliefs of their family.

Clinical Interests
Neck masses (including lymphatic malformations, hemangiomas and vascular malformations), chronic ear disease, chronic sinus disease, airway disorders, craniofacial anomalies, hearing loss, care of the medically complex otolaryngology patient.
