Surgical Procedures (exclusively on children)

    EAR SURGERY

  • Insertion of ear tubes
  • Removal of foreign body from the ear (often in clinic)
  • Repair of the tympanic membrane (tympanoplasty)
  • Removal of chronic ear infection (mastoidectomy)
  • Reconstruction of the hearing bones (ossiculoplasty)
  • Removal of ear pits
  • Reconstruction of ear deformities)
    NOSE SURGERY

  • Removal of adenoids
  • Removal of foreign body (often in clinic)
  • Repair of blockage of nasal passages
  • Drainage of sinuses in chronic sinusitis
  • Reconstruction of nasal deformity from birth or trauma
  • Removal of nasal pits and cysts (dermoids)
    THROAT SURGERY

  • Removal of tonsils
  • Repair of cleft palate
  • Correction of hypernasal speech (often associated with cleft palate)
  • Rerouting of salivary ducts to prevent drooling
  • Removal of cysts
  • Repair of tongue-tied (often in clinic)
    FACIAL SURGERY

  • Repair of cleft lip
  • Removal of masses or cysts
  • Repair of facial fractures
  • Treatment of vascular birthmarks
    NECK SURGERY

  • Removal of cysts and pits (branchial cleft anomalies, thyroglossal duct cyst)
  • Drainage of abscesses and infections
  • Removal of masses or tumors
    AIRWAY SURGERY

  • Diagnosis of breathing problems or voice problems (often in clinic)
  • Treatment of airway obstruction including reconstruction of larynx and trachea
  • Tracheotomy
  • Removal of foreign bodies
