"I believe that head and neck surgery/oncology is a complex field that is best represented by a multidisciplinary team made up of individuals with diverse backgrounds, subspecialty training, and a common goal. The high volume of patients with these problems seen at OHSU and the presence of a large number of highly skilled individuals who are attracted to the environment of an academic medical center has allowed us to develop such a team here. Our emphasis is on high quality, compassionate patient care, and innovative strategies. The educational and research aspects of our program and constant review of our results keep us on the 'cutting edge' of new developments in this rapidly changing field."
