Peter Andersen MD

Dr. Andersen received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri in 1988. He did his residency at Oregon Health Sciences University from 1988-93 and then completed a fellowship in head and neck surgery/oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City from 1993-95, during which time he received a $10,000 award from the American Cancer Society Clinical Fellowship and a Basic Science Award from the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital Resident Research Day. In 1995 he became Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at OHSU. He is currently a Professor.

Dr. Andersen is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, the American Medical Association, the American Rhinologic Society, the Oregon Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, the American Association for Cancer Research, the American College of Surgeons, and the Society of Head and Neck Surgeons.

Currently, Dr. Andersen is involved in research on the Differential Expression of Genes in Head and Neck Squamous Carcinoma with a grant from the American Cancer Society, Oregon Division, as well as his surgical and clinical practice at Oregon Health & Science University.
