MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University is to provide state-of-the-art education to medical students, house staff and fellows; to practice contemporary, high-quality patient care; to create new or expanded knowledge from basic and clinical otolaryngology research; and to be committed to leadership in the community and the academic arena.

The Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) provides complete otolaryngology care for children and adults. Our staff includes subspecialties in head and neck surgery/oncology, otology/neurotology/skull base surgery, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, laryngology, endoscopic sinus surgery, pediatric otolaryngology, audiology and speech pathology. Special program components include the Northwest Center for Voice Disorders, a Thyroid Tumor Clinic, an Allergy Clinic, a Sleep Disorders Clinic, a Vascular Anomalies Clinic, a Cochlear Implant program, and all aspects of audiology (hearing diagnostic testing and rehabilitation, auditory evoked potentials, pediatric audiology, and vestibular testing).
