Ted A. Cook, M.D., FACS
Dr. Cook, an Oregonian, graduated from Willamette University and received his M.D. degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He interned at the Stanford Hospital in San Francisco, then spent four years in the U.S. Navy as a flight surgeon. He then completed a residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at Baylor, and did fellowship training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in Tampa, Florida and Boston, Massachusetts.
He practiced in Spokane, Washington, as a faculty member of the University of Washington Medical School from 1973 until 1982. In 1982 he joined the faculty at OHSU and has been here since. His practice, limited to facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, involves all aspects of repair of congenital, traumatic and cancer defects of the face.
Past President of both the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies, he is a nationally and internationally recognized speaker and writer on all aspects of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery of the face. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Areas of Expertise
Dr. Cook's main interest in Facial Plastic Surgery is in rhinoplasty surgery (both primary and revision) and all aspects of reconstructive surgery. "I believe strongly that my training and background in all aspects of the anatomy, function and aesthetic appearance make me better able to provide the best possible care in a practice limited to Facial Plastic Surgery."
