Sean O. McMenomey, MD, FACS, is a 1987 graduate of the St. Louis University School of Medicine. He completed his Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery training at Oregon Health Sciences University in 1992. His subspecialty fellowship in Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery was done with the Otology Group and the EAR Foundation in Nashville, TN. He was certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology in 1993. He also holds additional Board certification in Neurotology. Dr. McMenomey joined the faculty of OHSU in 1993 and is currently a Professor in the Departments of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery and Neurological Surgery. His focus is otology, neurotology, and skull base surgery. He presently serves as the vice-chairman for the Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery. Dr. McMenomey is active in the Oregon Academy of Otolaryngology, having served as Program Chair and has been Secretary-Treasurer of the OAO since 2000. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery, American Neurotology Society, American College of Surgeons, Oregon Medical Association, Multnomah County Medical Society, and Society of University Otolaryngologists/Head and Neck Surgeons. Dr. McMenomey is a board examiner for the American Board of Otolaryngology. He has published extensively and has presented at numerous national and international meetings.
