CHRONIC EAR DISEASE

Chronic ear disease usually refers to chronic or ongoing ear infections. Chronic ear infections are usually treated by topical antibiotics (antibiotic eardrops) and/or oral antibiotics. Occasionally, the infections are so severe that to cure the infection intravenous antibiotics or surgery (tympanoplasty or mastoidectomy) may be required.
