Welcome Dr. Sun

The Department of Emergency Medicine is pleased to welcome our newest faculty member, Benjamin Sun, MD. Dr. Sun joins the Center for Policy and Research in Emergency Medicine (CPR-EM) with research interests in emergency department crowding and health policy. "Dr. Sun's research interests are a perfect complement to those of our core research faculty in Emergency Medicine" said John Ma, MD, Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine. "Along with being an all around great guy, Ben is a very talented investigator. Our department and OHSU are very fortunate to have him here. Dr. Sun markedly strengthens our research program."

Dr. Sun received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in 2000. He also completed an MPP in Health Care Policy from Harvard in 2000. He graduated from the Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency Program in 2004. In 2006, Dr. Sun completed a fellowship in health services research in the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program at UCLA. Dr. Sun received the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine Young Investigator Award in 2010.
