BACKGROUND
The Injury Free Coalition for Kids (IFCK) at Oregon Health & Science University /Doernbecher Children’s Hospital is part of a National Program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. IFCK is comprised of hospital-based, community-oriented programs, whose efforts are anchored in research, education, and advocacy

The National Injury Free Coalition includes 40 sites located in 37 cities. IFCK Portland has formed a local of neighborhood organizations, fire departments, emergency medical services, government agencies, community non-profits and local business to prevent fall-related injuries to children ages 1-14.
IFCK Portland is working with these organizations to identify opportunities to work with communities to develop assessment strategies, programs, surveillance and evaluation methods.
