Sierra Acker, B.S.
Project Coordinator - Continuous Quality Improvement
Sierra joined the Department of Emergency Medicine in 2017. She enjoys spending her time hiking, camping, rafting, stand-up paddle boarding, and cycling. Although she no longer runs, she is proud to say that she has completed four half marathons and a sprint triathlon.
Nicole Callison, B.S.
Research Assistant 2
Nicole joined the department in 2015 and serves as a Research Assistant with the Oregon Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST) Registry.
Jenny Cook, B.A., G.C.P.H.
Jenny is a Project Liaison for the Oregon Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST) Registry Project, the Study Coordinator for the OHSU hub of the Neurological Emergencies Treatment Trials (NETT), and the Program Administrator for the Oregon Emergency Care Research - Multidisciplinary Training Program (OECR-MTP). She began working for Emergency Medicine in 2001 as an Emergency Transport Coordinator before moving to the academic side of Emergency Medicine in 2007. Jenny has a Graduate Certificate in Public Health and works in establishing interagency relationships, EMS training, communications, project management, and public speaking. In her off hours, she can be found enjoying family life with her 2 sons and husband, dancing ballet, volunteering, or taking a rare moment to pick up and enjoy a good book.
Stefan Engelhardt, B.S.
Research Assistant 2
Stefan has two degrees from the University of Central Florida; Physics and Applied Mathematics. When he is not not hiking with family or friends, Stefan loves to stay at home playing video games.
Emily Hauser, B.S.
Administrative Coordinator - Finance
Emily has been with OHSU for several years, but joined the Department of Emergency Medicine in 2017 and serves as the department's finance coordinator.
Isha Van Gelder, M.B.A.
Finance and Revenue Cycle Manager
Isha has been with OHSU since 2011 and joined the Department of Emergency Medicine in 2018 as the department's Finance and Revenue Cycle Manager. Isha loves to cook and enjoys entertaining friends at least a few times a week. She tries to learn about the world through its food, using cultures culinary history and experiences as a driver for travel.
Denise Griffiths, B.S., C.C.R.P.
Senior Research Associate and Research Manager
Denise is the Department's Research Manager. She has been with the Department of Emergency Medicine since January 1996. Denise enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading and being outdoors.
Mike joined the department in 2017 and currently serves as a System Application Analyst, working in conjunction with CID.
Cindy Koonz, M.S.
Cindy oversees the residency and fellowship programs. She has been with Emergency Medicine since 2000. Outside of the department, Cindy enjoys spending time with her husband and children and enjoys teaching and volunteering in the community.
Nancy Le, B.A.
Sr. Research Assistant
Nancy works with the Oregon Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST) Registry and Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium (ROC). She has been with the department since 2010. During her free time, she likes to go on runs, play basketball, volunteer, and spend time with her family.
Susan Malveau, M.S.
Sue is a software engineer who joined the department in 2008. With an MS in Biomedical Engineering and more than two decades of software design experience, Sue enjoys using her programming skills to automate tasks associated with the analysis of electronic data. Sue also enjoys designing web-based applications that incorporate creative data visualization tools.
Kamil Narayan, B.S.
Senior Research Assistant
Kamil is the coordinator for the Clinical Research Investigative Studies Program (CRISP). She joined the Department of Emergency Medicine in 2013. Outside of the office, Kamil enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Jennifer joined the Department of Emergency Medicine in 2014. When not at work, her additional free time is devoted to catching up with my family and friends, sporting events, watching movies, reading, traveling, and baking.
Kimberly Regner, M.A.
Administrative Coordinator - Education
Kimberly Regner joined the Department of Emergency Medicine in 2014 after serving as a Clinical Research Coordinator and Regulatory Coordinator with OHSU's Stroke Center since 2010. Before moving to Oregon permanently, Kim received her Masters of Arts in Counseling in England at the University of Nottingham. Kim is a California transplant that loves living in the Pacific Northwest and enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, and watching baseball and football.

Stefanie has been with Emergency Medicine since 2012. When not in the department, Stefanie enjoys hosting dinner parties and social gatherings with her husband.

POLST Registry Program Administrator
Brittany is the Program Administrator for the Oregon Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST) Registry. She has been working with the Registry since it began as a pilot project in May of 2009.

Marie-Annick is the research project manager for multiple EM projects. She has been with Emergency Medicine since 2007. Marie-Annick enjoys family time, and is active in the local native French speakers group.
