Liz joined the department in 2014. She conducts patient call backs for our quality management program and contributes to research that is focused on improving quality of care and health outcomes.
Tahroma Alligood, MPH
Tahroma administers the NHLBI-funded Oregon Multidisciplinary Training Program for Emergency Medicine Clinical Research (K12) and assists with other EM research projects. She has been with OHSU since 2011 and joined the Department of Emergency Medicine in 2013. Prior to coming to OHSU, Tahroma served as a public health director with the U.S. Army in Germany after completing her graduate work at the University of Wisconsin. She enjoys traveling with her family and reading Pulitzer Prize winning books.
Jenny Cook, BA, GCPH
Jenny is a Project Liaison for the Oregon Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST) Registry Project and the Study Coordinator for the OHSU hub of the Neurological Emergencies Treatment Trials (NETT). She began working for Emergency Medicine in 2001 as an Emergency Transport Coordinator before moving to the academic side of Emergency Medicine in 2007. Jenny has a Graduate Certificate in Public Health and works in establishing interagency relationships, EMS training, communications, project management, and public speaking. In her off hours, she can be found enjoying family life with her 2 sons and husband, dancing ballet, volunteering, or taking a rare moment to pick up and enjoy a good book.
Terri has been with Emergency Medicine since 1998 and OHSU since 1991.
Denise Griffiths, BS, CCRP
Denise is the Department's Research Manager. She has been with the Department of Emergency Medicine since January 1996. Denise enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading and being outdoors.
Brian Jones, BS
Administrative Coordinator - Finance
Brian has been with Emergency Medicine since 2011. When not in the department, Brian can be found on the tennis courts or enjoying Portland's incredible food scene.
Michael Kampp, BS, CCRP
Michael works on the Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium (ROC) study. He has been with Emergency Medicine since 2008. One time, in 6th grade, Mike made three half-court shots in a row.
Cindy Koonz, MS
Cindy oversees the residency and fellowship programs. She has been with Emergency Medicine since 2000. Outside of the department, Cindy enjoys spending time with her husband and twin daughters and enjoys teaching and volunteering in the community.
Nancy Le, BA
Nancy works with the Oregon Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST) Registry and Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium (ROC). She has been with the department since 2010. During her free time, she likes to go on runs, play basketball, volunteer, and spend time with her family.
Alan Lines, MHA
Alan joined the Department in 2007. Prior to OHSU he worked at Loma Linda University as the administrative director for Emergency Medicine. Alan has a Masters in Healthcare Administration from Loma Linda University. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his kids, the great outdoors and food.
Susan Malveau, MS
Sue is a software engineer who joined the department in 2008. With an MS in Biomedical Engineering and more than two decades of software design experience, Sue enjoys using her programming skills to automate tasks associated with the analysis of electronic data. Sue also enjoys designing web-based applications that incorporate creative data visualization tools.
Mindy is currently part of the Oregon POLST Registry team. She has been with OHSU and the POLST Registry since 2011 as a student worker. Mindy was born in Manila, Philippines and moved to the states with her parents and younger brother when she was just nine years old. Majority of her family is still in the Philippines so she enjoys traveling back and visiting them as often as she can. When not clicking away at the keyboard for the POLST Registry, Mindy enjoys attending Mars Hill Church, spending time with her family, friends, and watching movies.
James McNulty, BS
James is the Program Coordinator for Simulation Services and ACLS. He received his BS in Biology from the University of Minnesota and graduated from OHSU's Emergency Medical Technology program in 2009. He served as a Lab Instructor for the OHSU/OIT Paramedic Education Program for 3 years and is also a former Clinical Research Volunteer in the OHSU ED. When not at work, James enjoys playing outdoors with his family, be it neighborhood walks, canoe camping adventures, kite-flying or bird-watching.
Rahill is a Research Assistant for the Center for Policy and Research in Emergency Medicine. She has over 6 years of diverse lab and clinical research experience, where most recently she has been a CRISP volunteer in the OHSU Emergency Department since 2012.
Kamil Narayan, BS
Senior Research Assistant
Kamil is the coordinator for the Clinical Research Investigative Studies Program (CRISP). She joined the Department of Emergency Medicine in 2013. Outside of the office, Kamil enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Hanna Nelson, BA
Hanna works with the Oregon Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST) Registry. She moved from Colorado to attend Lewis & Clark College, and graduated in 2010. She has been with the POLST Registry since April 2011. When not at work she enjoys hiking, backpacking, swimming, eating lots of kale, and spending time with friends in her SE Portland neighborhood.
Jack is a Research Assistant with the Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium (ROC) Study team. He is a trained paramedic with experience as a clinician and researcher in both the private and university sectors. He has previously worked in EMS, as a freelance writer and analyst, and in the Royal Australian Navy as a pilot.
Jennifer joined the Department of Emergency Medicine in 2014. When not at work, her additional free time is devoted to catching up with my family and friends, sporting events, watching movies, reading, traveling, and baking.
Senior Research Assistant
Lela came to OHSU in 2010 after retiring from University of California San Diego where she worked as a staff research associate for more than 20 years. She spends her free time cycling, canoeing, and dragon boating in the great northwest.
Kimberly Regner, MA
Administrative Coordinator - Education
Kimberly Regner joined the Department of Emergency Medicine in 2014 after serving as a Clinical Research Coordinator and Regulatory Coordinator with OHSU's Stroke Center since 2010. Before moving to Oregon permanently, Kim received her Masters of Arts in Counseling in England at the University of Nottingham. Kim is a California transplant that loves living in the Pacific Northwest and enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, and watching baseball and football.
Stefanie has been with Emergency Medicine since 2012. When not in the department, Stefanie enjoys hosting dinner parties and social gatherings with her husband.
Tanya joined the department in 2014 and works with the Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium (ROC) and the Dynamic Automated External Defibrillators (AED) Registry Project.
Joel Schramm, BA
Joel is responsible for maintaining and developing most web-related applications and content for the department and has been with the Department of Emergency Medicine since 2011.
Chelsea Smart, MS
Administrative Coordinator - Continuous Quality Improvement
Chelsea joined the department in 2013. She is a graduate of the University of London with a Master's of Science in Public Health in Developing Countries. Previously, she worked for the federal government on population and reproductive health issues. She grew up in Washington State and loves traveling, reading, and live music.

POLST Registry Program Coordinator
Brittany is the Program Coordinator for the Oregon Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST) Registry. She has been working with the Registry since it began as a pilot project in May of 2009.
Beverly Thean, BS
Beverly joined the department in 2014 and is a Research Assistant for the Oregon Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST) Registry.
Hoa Vu, BS
Hoa provides financial analyses and support for the department. She has been with Emergency Medicine since August 2004.
Cody Weathers, BS
Cody is the department's administrative data analyst. He has been with Emergency Medicine since 2002. When not in the department, Cody enjoys family time with his wife and daughters, and is active in the local music scene.
Marie-Annick Yagapen, BS, CCRP
Marie-Annick is the research project manager for multiple EM projects. She has been with Emergency Medicine since 2007. Marie-Annick enjoys family time, and is active in the local native French speakers group.
