When not working, he enjoys watching college football and partaking in activities such as golf, soccer, basketball and being in the outdoors whenever possible. Ryan Cain joined the Department of Emergency Medicine as faculty in 2015 as an Advanced Practice Provider in the Emergency Department's Observation Unit. Ryan received his Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies with an emphasis in Bioethics at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona. He has worked in emergency department, urgent care, and inpatient settings since graduating in 2009. Ryan's academic interests include bioethics, precepting students, and advanced procedural training for Physician Assistants. Ryan's personal interests include movies, rock climbing, travel and his french bulldog Momo.

Dustin Carlson joined the Department of Emergency Medicine as full-time faculty in 2017 as an Advanced Practice Provider in the Emergency Department's Observation Unit. He spent the first 10 years of his career as an Emergency Room RN. After receiving his F.N.P. from UNLV in 2015 he started in Hospital Medicine as an Advanced Practice Provider at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, NY. In his free time, Dusty golfs, plays WOW, snow and water skis, exercises, sings, dances, spends time with his dog, nephews and nieces, and his friends.

Dr. Clark joined the Department of Emergency Medicine as faculty in July 2016 as an Emergency Medicine Administrative Fellow. He also serves as the Assistant Medical Director of ED Observation. His academic interests are health care coordination, health policy, and wilderness medicine. When not working, he enjoys camping, traveling, and cooking.

Elizabeth Crawford joined the Department of Emergency Medicine as full-time faculty in 2016 as an Advanced Practice Provider in the Emergency Department's Observation Unit. Her primary areas of interest include disaster management and medical response, geriatric trauma, effective utilization of advanced practitioners in designated trauma centers, and predicators of clinical excellence in minority medical/PA school applicant populations. She enjoys skiing, kayaking, backpacking, and spending as much time as possible outdoors in the great Pacific Northwest.

Colin Gershon, N.P., M.P.H., joined OHSU Emergency Department in 2017 after serving for five years with the Indian Health Service on the Navajo reservation in Arizona. Mr. Gershon was the first nurse practitioner to serve as Chief of Staff of an Indian Health Service hospital. A former Peace Corps volunteer, Colin speaks both Swahili and French. Outside of the hospital, Colin enjoys hiking with his two dogs and volunteering at the humane society.

She serves as the Clinical Director of Operations for the department and has an interest in patient flow, service excellence, and population health.
