Dr. Akpunonu joined the Department of Emergency Medicine as faculty in 2015 as an Emergency Medicine Toxicology Fellow. His academic interests are trauma, drugs of abuse, laboratory medicine and simulation. When not working, Dr. Akpunonu enjoys traveling with his family, finding new foods, restaurants, dancing: swing, foxtrot, tango and hip hop, and supporting Ohio State Football.
