Service Level Agreement
SCOPE OF SERVICE
Educational Communications aims to produce high quality videos, regardless of the format or budget. Production standards range from Industrial/Educational to full “broadcast quality” – delivered in most analog and digital formats. Video material may also be delivered at a lower resolution over the web.
Video production staff will range from a single-person to a full crew where extra technical support is required. Staff is appropriately trained to work at the highest standards at all times. Videos are divided in two categories; productions and single camera/event documentation.
PRODUCTIONS
A production is a video that requires a combination of detailed planning, script writing, videotaping, and complex editing. Productions may also include multiple camera shoots of live events. Productions usually last over an extended period of time.
EdComm Responsibilities
The following is what EdComm will provide to customer:
- Assign producer to oversee production from start to finish
- Prepare a Statement of Work outlining scope, cost, timelines and deliverables
- Advise on script writing, production planning, and costs
- Coordinate equipment delivery and set up
- Shoot footage
- Edit content and include appropriate graphics, music, narration, etc.
- Deliver final video in agreed upon format
Customer Responsibilities
The following is what the customer is expected to provide:
- Purpose of the video
- Main points to cover in the video
- Primary and secondary audiences
- Plan for showing video
- Length of video
- Budget
- List of stakeholders, including primary contact and/or final authority / decision-maker
SIMPLE SHOOTS
A short or simple shoot is the process of videotaping events like lectures or seminars. The event typically only requires one videographer and needs minimal, if any, editing.
EdComm Responsibilities
The following is what EdComm will provide to customer:
- Assign videographer to shoot
- Prepare a Statement of Work outlining scope, cost, timelines and deliverables
- Delivery and set up of video and audio equipment
- Videographer shoots footage
- Minor editing to footage, if requested
- Deliver final video in agreed upon format
Customer Responsibilities
The following is what the customer is expected to provide:
- Location
- Time and Length
- Determine presentation or interview
- Total number of presenters or interviews
- List of presentation materials (PowerPoint, videos, etc.)
- Determine if panel situation
- If panel situation, is it required to hear questions from the audience
- List of stakeholders, including primary contact and/or final authority / decision-maker
MATERIAL DELIVERY
Client will receive the Master Tape and/or DVD upon completion of project. It is the customer’s responsibility to archive and safeguard the media, as EdComm does not perform this service, nor do we automatically make backups of all video production work.
