Client Quotes

Here's what our clients have to say about videos we produced for them ...

I have been meaning to drop you a line for ages to say how much I appreciated being able to work with Larry and Jeff on the Tribute video for Dr. Kohler, and express my admiration at what they produced.

It was the umpteenth request for a copy of the tape this afternoon that prompted me to write. Hard as it is to summarize an 18-year career in six minutes, Jeff and Larry managed to do it, and in a way that made people feel that they were part of the story. People want this DVD in their library.

The technical elements were smoothly and professionally accomplished: the selection and retrieval of archival material was superb: and the stiching together of what was occasioanally a slightly dispirate group of comments into a cohesive and coherent whole was seamless.

I am sorry that it has taken so long to tell you both something that I am sure you were aware of already, but I am very grateful to them for contributing an outstanding piece of work to the Gala at which we celebrated Dr. Kohler and all that he has achieved.

Mark Kemball, Director, University Protocol & Events

I am writing to express my great satisfaction with the video the “Breath of Hope” which was recently produced for me by Jeff Schilling. I am a neonatologist who performs pulmonary function tests in newborn infants for both clinical and research purposes. We had recently received support from a benefactor via the Doernbecher Foundation to purchase a new pulmonary function machine. This video was done to thank and educate this benefactor on how the pulmonary function machine helps improve neonatal care at OHSU by: enhancing our ability to diagnose lung defects in newborns, toddlers, and preschoolers; improve our ability to determine when a newborn is ready to breath on their own; acquire sophisticated data for long range study in lung development. Jeff was able to bring these points, and therefore the importance of this new technology, across in the video in a very clear and convincing manner. The Doernbecher and Ackley Foundation were very pleased with the video, as all of the members of the Foundation could easily watch the video at their convenience and quickly see the impact of their generous donation to our program.

I cannot thank you enough for your hard work and wonderful attitude during this Brain Awareness Season. From being there every lecture with a smile on your faces to worrying about lighting and perfect camera angles you guys were more than I could have hoped for. Everything was wonderful and done faster than I knew possible. Thank you thank you thank you. We are so fortunate to have your help and talent as part of Brain Awareness!

I want to thank you and your staff for the wonderful service you provide to OHSU and to share praise about my recent experience working with Larry Dlugas. Last month, Larry produced a wonderful and well received 8-minute video for the OHSU Cancer Institute. The video featured the recent LIVESTRONG Ride and what the support raised will mean to the CI's establishment of an Adolescent and Young Adult Oncology Program. Using a combination of live interviews, footage, and still shots, Larry produced a first-rate video that will be used for education, outreach and fundraising purposes. The video has received a tremendous response from the donors, volunteers and OHSU physicians who have seen it and many people have asked to show it at departmental and board meetings. We will also show the video to the Lance Armstrong Foundation board, NIKE executives, donors and volunteers.

When our program leaders asked me to explore the possibility of preparing this video, I wondered with the short time frame and our budget whether this would be possible. Now I know and want many others to know, too, that we are extremely lucky to have a wonderful resource like EduComm on campus with talented, dedicated staff that can make these opportunities possible.

Rachel Stroud Hunsinger, OHSU Cancer Institute

Thanks so much for sending the DVD (written and produced by EdComm). It's wonderful! I've sent it on to the president of the Ackley Foundation so they have it before they consider our new proposal. I am sure she will be thrilled with the results you have achieved thus far.
