Advances in the prevention and treatment of colon cancer are changing the face of this deadly disease. Now seen as the most curable cancer in America, it affects another 106,000 lives yearly. Research-driven risk reduction and prevention strategies are decreasing the incidence of colon cancer. Early identification and timely treatment, including new surgical approaches, improve survival and quality of life.
