Oregon Angio Club
The Oregon Angio Club, organized under the direction
of Dr. John Kaufman, meets every two months in the Dotter
Research Laboratory conference room. It began as a meeting
of a few dedicated interventional radiologists,
and now attracts 30 to 40 or more physicians, technologists
and research associates from both Oregon and Washington.
Each meeting features a guest
speaker. Participants earn Category 1 CME credit from OHSU.
Community physicians attend and bring cases for presentation
and discussion. Vascular
surgeons, cardiologists and other subspecialists also attend.
Alternative therapies and approaches to clinical problems
are discussed over dinner
outside of the usual hospital setting. The Oregon Angio
Club is a wonderful forum for the exchange of ideas between
interventionalists and other subspecialties
in a friendly, informal environment.
