Oregon Angio Club
The Oregon Angio Club, organized under the direction
of Dr. Bryan Petersen, met every two months in the Dotter
Research Laboratory conference room. It began as a meeting
of a few dedicated interventional radiologists,
and later attracted 30 to 40 or more physicians, technologists
and research associates from both Oregon and Washington.
Each meeting featured a guest
speaker. Participants earned Category 1 CME credit from OHSU.
Community physicians attended and brought cases for presentation
and discussion. Vascular
surgeons, cardiologists and other subspecialists also participated.
Alternative therapies and approaches to clinical problems
were discussed over dinner
outside of the usual hospital setting. The Oregon Angio
Club was a wonderful forum for the exchange of ideas between
interventionalists and other subspecialties
in a friendly, informal environment.
