Dr. Hideaki Kakizawa graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Hiroshima University in Hiroshima City, Japan. He completed his residency and fellowship in diagnostic and interventional radiology at the Hiroshima University Hospital.

Kakizawa is interested in hepatic intervention and endovascular therapy for hemorrhage. His research includes studying the outcome of endovascular therapy for abdominal hemorrhage and hemorrhage from head and neck tumors.

While away from the research lab, Kakizawa enjoys spending time with his wife and children as they become familiar with the Portland area.
