The Institute's First Website
The Institute's first website was created in early 1996 as one the first
interventional web sites in the United States. It was successfully
exhibited at the annual meeting of the SCVIR in March 1996
in Seattle and served
as an example for building websites in other institutions.
The Institute's first website was quite detailed and contained
information about the
mission, history, faculty and facilities of the Institute,
historic Dotter museum cases, interventional reflections
with reminiscences on Charles
T. Dotter and information on upcoming interventional events.
An important component of the website was information
on new devices and techniques
including information on fibroid embolization. In March
2001 this website was replaced by a new one to conform
with other OHSU websites.
