Residency Training
Radiology residency training in vascular and interventional radiology consists of a required four-month rotation usually split into two-month blocks at OHSU and VAMC hospitals. An additional elective rotation, from one to four months in duration, is possible in the fourth year of the residency program. In the past 11 years, a total of 44 residents from the diagnostic radiology residency program rotated through the Institute for their training in vascular and interventional radiology. In 1999, this training was extended to include a one-month rotation for fellows in vascular surgery. The neurointerventional section offers two- to three-month blocks of neurointerventional training for neuroradiology fellows, and to date, eight fellows have rotated through this program.
