Director, Perioperative Clinic

The Department of Internal Medicine and the Division of Hospital Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University seek qualified applicants for a Director of the Perioperative Clinic. The practice scope will include both clinical and administrative responsibilities. The qualified applicant will be expected to build a robust perioperative medicine program and to perform medical consultations.

•The Director will serve as the clinical, operation and quality leader of this practice. This is a position of leadership thus 3 years of experience as a hospitalist with some of that time performing medical consultations is desired. The successful candidate will have superb clinical and professional and communication skills and an excitement and interest in expanding and providing outstanding patient care.

Clinical Hospitalist, Lead Hospitalist

The Department of Internal Medicine and Division of Hospital Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University seek qualified applicants for both a Lead Hospitalist and clinical hospitalist positions in an evolving non-teaching service in a tertiary referral center. The scope of practice will include the primary care of inpatients, as well as medical consultation, co-management with surgical subspecialties.

• The Lead Hospitalist will serve as the clinical, operations, and quality manager, as well as developer of this practice. This position is a position of leadership and requires a minimum of 3 years experience as a clinical hospitalist. The qualified candidate will have superb clinical and interpersonal skills, and an interest in expanding and providing excellent care.

• The remaining 4 clinical FTE will serve as hospitalists on this non-teaching service. The successful candidate should excel in areas of clinical medicine, interpersonal skills and enjoys multidisciplinary work.

An MD degree (or equivalent) and ABIM certification (or eligibility) are required. Applicants should be US Citizens or possess a permanent Visa (“Green Card”).
