Dermatology Research Division
Basic, clinical and translational dermatologic research
The OHSU Dermatology Research Division encompasses basic, clinical and translational research in epithelial cell cancers and dermatologic diseases. Stratified epithelia are the sites of origin of the overwhelming majority of human cancers, and epidermal models offer a valuable paradigm for their study. The Dermatology Research Division will build upon three elements:
  1. Molecular, cellular and tissue based models of disease
  2. Specialized cell separation and culture
  3. Molecular genetics for diagnosis and therapy

The research division is designed to foster interactions among basic and clinical scientists and resident fellows of the department for novel and synergistic research activities and applications.
