Pediatric dermatology
Pediatric dermatology
Pediatric dermatology is an emerging specialty that is growing rapidly
within pediatrics and dermatology. The Department of Dermatology at OHSU,
in conjunction with Doernbecher Children's Hospital, is pleased to be
able to offer the only board certified pediatric dermatologist in the
state of Oregon. Our pediatric dermatologists, Alfons L. Krol, M.D., F.R.C.P.C. and Dawn Siegel, M.D. specialize in the evaluation and management of common and uncommon cutaneous problems for children, from birth to 18 years of age. Recognizing the unique developmental and physiologic aspects of infants, children and adolescents, our pediatric dermatologists design treatment regimens specific to their developmental and physical needs.

Offering specialized care of common skin problems such as:
- Acne
- Hemangiomas
- Port wine stains
- Tinea
- Atopic dermatitis (eczema)
- Herpes simplex
- Psoriasis
- Warts
- Bullous diseases
- Molluscum contagiosum
- Skin infections
Drs. Krol and Seigel also offer substantial expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex and unusual skin diseases such as hemangiomas, vascular anomalies, genetic disorders and atopic dermatitis.
