A clinical trial (also clinical research) is a research study in human volunteers
to answer specific health questions. Carefully conducted clinical trials are the
fastest and safest way to find treatments that work in people and ways to improve

in investigator initiated and pharmaceutical directed clinical research.

clinical trial unit maintains ethical standards needed to assure success
for sponsors and patients.

The OHSU Department of Dermatology offers many different clinical trials throughout the year. Most trials have a limited number of spots or time allowed to enroll patients.
