Registration Information

Dear Colleague: We would like to invite you to the Fifteenth Annual Conference of the Cognitive Science Association for Interdisciplinary Learning. We invite papers on topics in cognitive science. Twenty-four, 30 minute talks will be scheduled. Talks will be held in the morning and evening allowing plenty of time for leisure activities. Important, due to popular demand, you may have choice between presenting a 10 minute talk or a poster. These will be scheduled prior to the talks each afternoon. We encourage you to send in your abstract early if you are thinking of attending. The conference will be held at the Hood River Hotel. We have reserved rooms for the conference. When you call, please let them know that you are with CSAIL. Otherwise, they will tell you there are no rooms available. Note, that there are other Hood River accommodations available, but be advised that these are booked very early in the year as well . The conference will begin at 4:30 p.m. on July 30, 2008 and will end at 11:30 a.m. on August 3, 2008.
If you would like to present a talk or poster, please send a 150 word abstract. The organizing committee will review your abstract and you will be notified of acceptance within one week of receipt.
Conference registration fee prior to the conference: $135.00 (US currency) Conference registration fee at the conference: $160.00 (US currency) Checks or money orders made out to CSAIL should be sent to Michael Sullivan upon notification of acceptance of your abstract. Note, we did have to raise the registration fee in order to keep up with inflation. We will offer no student discounts this year. Others, not presenting a talk, also are invited to attend. The registration fee pays for the rental of the conference room and audio-visual equipment, daily catering, and the banquet. For non-registered friends and family, the banquet is $25.
