Electromagnetic Fields (EMFs)

  • Job-exposure Matrix (JEM) for Power-frequency Magnetic Fields
    http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/topics/emf/jem-powerfreq/jempowerfreq.html (NIOSH)
    >  A population-based job exposure matrix (JEM) was developed to assess personal exposures to power-frequency magnetic fields (MF) for epidemiologic studies. The JEM compiled 2317 MF measurements taken on or near workers by 10 studies in the United States, Sweden, New Zealand, Finland, and Italy. A database was assembled from the original data for six studies plus summary statistics grouped by occupation from four other published studies.

  • Electromagnetic Fields
    http://www.who.int/peh-emf/en/ (WHO)
    >  As part of its Charter to protect public health and in response to public concern, the World Health Organization (WHO) established the International EMF Project in 1996 to assess the scientific evidence of possible health effects of EMF in the frequency range from 0 to 300 GHz.

    >  Frequently asked questions about the safety of radiofrequency (RF) and microwave emissions from transmitters and facilities regulated by the FCC.

  • EMF Information from MEDLINEplus
