The full text and illustrations of the first (1980) edition, which is now out of print, are provided in response to requests for access to this pioneering volume. While the material is dated because the field of neurotoxicology has advanced markedly, as described in the second (2000) edition, the 1980 edition contains a rich collection of micrographs that capture pathological responses to substances that damage the nervous system.
