Research Interests
My role is to direct CROETs Toxicology
Information Center (TIC). The TIC is a special library for CROET scientists
and students as well as the professional community and the general public of the
state of Oregon. The TIC provides a vital outreach function to citizens and professionals
by responding to their inquiries about the potential hazards from exposure to
chemicals. I manage the library collection and retrieve information from local
libraries, online databases and the internet that is specific to individual inquiries.
The goal is to provide up-to-date, unbiased information in a form that is understandable
and useful to the patron. I serve as liason between the research faculty and the
National Institute for Environmental Health Sciences for CROETs Superfund
Basic Research Center. I also provide assistance to CROET scientists and students
by doing literature research and retrieving requested reprints. Upon request,
I proofread grant applications, manuscripts and correspondence for CROET scientists
and students.
