Child on Oxygen with Family

Families of children with special healthcare needs will partner in decision making at all levels, and will be satisfied with the services they receive.

Our growing Family Involvement Network (FIN) is moving and shaking.  They have begun to partner with multidiscipline teams out in the communities, have been involved in Medical Home projects and are starting to tackle health insurance issues.

Raising a child with special health needs can be challenging and rewarding.  It also can be confusing and exhausting - for the whole family.  You and your family may need the services of many different professionals and agencies.  You may have to travel away from home for specialized health care. Sometimes you might just need to talk to someone who has been in your shoes and understands what you are going through.  Care Coordination from our CaCoon program can help!

The Family Support Program has some available funds for children linked to our programs.

We have child development information available for you.

Family Voices is a great national resource for families.

We have Family Stories of families who have been involved with our office and programs.
