JD Sandhu

Jasdeep_Sandhu_PAprogram-cropIn Alexandria, VA born and raised, Everett, WA is where I spent most of my days.

I was in Washington for 19 years, which included studying neurobiology at the University of Washington. I worked for several different research labs as an undergraduate, and upon graduation in 2011 I worked in clinical research for Seattle Children’s Hospital until my recent move to Portland. At Children’s I eventually made the decision to work towards attending PA school, and so I am more than thrilled to be a member of the OHSU PA Class of 2018.

What little free time I have, I enjoy by staying active, exploring the city, exploring the great outdoors, or just generally hanging out. Although I’m new I’ve been enjoying the short time I’ve had in Portland so far; there’s so much to do, so many places to see, and more importantly, so much food to eat!

It’s students writing first-hand about their commitment to careers in science and health care. It’s honest about the challenges as well as the joys. It’s not always pretty. But it is our story.
