The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute is now accepting applications for Pilot Project funding. The purpose of these $50,000 awards is to cultivate outstanding translational cancer research by assisting in the generation of preliminary data leading to peer-reviewed, national funding. Methamphetamine Abuse Research Center pilot projects, due April 1

OHSU’s Methamphetamine Abuse Research Center (MARC) seeks applications for pilot project research grants. These grants, of up to $30,000, are designed to bring new research directions, approaches, and investigators into the center. Projects are also intended to generate preliminary data for future R-type grant applications. All OHSU and VA faculty interested in methamphetamine research are encouraged to submit proposals. The Oregon National Primate Research Center (ONPRC) is soliciting proposals for its annual pilot research program. The award encourages activities related to the use of nonhuman primates for biomedical research or for studies enhancing the welfare or husbandry of nonhuman primates. The Portland Alcohol Research Center (PARC) expects to fund up to three pilot research projects in 2013 of up to $30,000 each.
