Judith Gedney Baggs, Ph.D., R.N., F.A.A.N., Elizabeth N. He’s published in scientific journals like PLoS ONE and Psychopharmacology, but now, Garet Lahvis, Ph.D., an assistant professor in the Department of Behavioral Neuroscience in the OHSU School of Medicine, will have a citation in a very different type of journal. OHSU researchers receive Damon Runyon-Rachleff Innovation Award to unleash the power of imaging for cancer treatment

When doctors treat breast cancer patients with the latest targeted cancer drugs, many patients initially see an improvement but later relapse and develop a resistance to treatment. OHSU neuroscientist receives Presidential Early Career Award

Damien Fair, PA-C, Ph.D., an assistant professor of behavioral neuroscience and psychiatry and assistant scientist at the OHSU Advanced Imaging Research Center, has received a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers for 2013, the highest honor given by the U.S. government to early-stage independent scientists. OHSU faculty member Jennifer DeVoe to lead new PCORI-funded research network

Last week, OCHIN, Inc. was awarded nearly $7 million by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute to establish itself as part of PCORI’s new Patient-Centered National Clinical Research Network. A publication by Pei-Chun Chen, Ph.D., postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and her mentor, Show-Ling Shyng, Ph.D., has been selected as a “Paper of the Week” by the Journal of Biological Chemistry. Bobby Heagerty, community affairs and education director at the OHSU Brain Institute, was recently honored with a Science Education Award from the Society for Neuroscience.
