Leading gene therapy researcher to visit OHSU Oct. 20

Donald KohnAs part of its Bench to Bedside research seminar series, the OHSU Department of Pediatrics will host Donald Kohn, M.D., who will present “Gene therapy using hematopoietic stem cells.’ Kohn is a professor in the Division of Pediatric Stem Cell Transplantation in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is also former president of the American Society of Gene and Cell Therapy.

Kohn will talk about the science of gene therapy targeting human hematopoietic stem cells and the resulting clinical trials in patients, including OHSU’s, with immunodeficiencies.
