OHSU Research Week begins Monday

OHSU Research Week begins Monday, May 5 with a poster session at 11:30 a.m. in the Old Library Great Hall. At 1 p.m., Garry Gibbons, M.D., director of the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute will be giving a keynote lecture today in the OHSU Auditorium. Dan Dorsa, Ph.D., senior vice president for research, encourages all members of the OHSU Research community to attend.

11:30 a.m. Poster session 1
1 p.m. Keynote: Gary Gibbons, M.D., director of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute at the National Institutes of Health
2:15 p.m. Oral presentations: Cancer Biology and Treatment 1; Physiology and Pharmacology
3 p.m. Workshop: So you want to be an entrepreneur?
4 p.m. Poster session 2 and oral presentations: Informatics
5:30 p.m. Opening reception with remarks by President Joe Robertson and Provost Jeanette Mladenovic in the Richard Jones Hall Atrium – Free food and drink!

Be sure to pick up a Research Week passport at the check-in desk in the Old Library starting Monday, May 5 at 11 a.m. Must be present at the Awards Reception on Thursday, May 8 at 4 p.m. to win.  Note: you will need to pay the tax on value of the iPad Mini.
