Reminder: Complete Integrity Booster by March 31

As announced on Staff News, all employees, students and volunteers are required to complete a new version of the Integrity Booster. Previously the course was required on a rolling-calendar basis every 18 months. Going forward, you’re required to complete the course early each year.

Recent events have highlighted the need for more frequent education and training not only around data protection, but also on fraud, conflict of interest and safety. The Integrity Booster is designed to provide a brief overview of important updates and changes in policies and fulfill several OHSU and regulatory requirements. These include: A new requirement by most health insurance companies to conduct annual all-employee compliance training; and a request by the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Civil Rights that OHSU implement regular refresher trainings for members of the OHSU community.

Completion of the course is required no later than March 31. As an incentive for meeting the deadline, anyone who completes the course in March will be entered to win a pair of movie tickets.

To get started, log into Big Brain. Once you log in, you’ll find a link to the course on the main page under “Newly required or overdue courses.” Completion of the course is expected to take 30 minutes and you can pause the course and come back to it at any time.
