Four times a year, the Medical Research Foundation of Oregon offers grants for promising biomedical exploration and the development of research careers in clinical investigation. The next deadline for these awards is May 15, 2014. Review all guidelines carefully before submitting your application.
- The New Investigator Grant supports junior faculty who are new to research and are currently without major funding resources. The grant provides up to $40,000, with two to three grants awarded quarterly. Principal investigators must be at the beginning of an independent career with a faculty position at one of Oregon’s colleges or universities.
- The Early Clinical Investigator Grant provides up to $20,000 in support for post-doctoral trainees and clinical fellows with specific plans for a career in clinical research.
- The Emergency Interim Support Grant supports established investigators who are in need of bridge funding. The grant provides up to $40,000 for research programs that have lost national grant funding, enabling investigators to develop data supporting application renewals.
