eCRIS: New Ongoing Study, Invoice and Payment functionality

OHSU’s electronic clinical research information system, eCRIS, has new functionality available. Look for the following features: Active studies with industry funding can generate invoices and display payment data from Oracle Grants Accounting (OGA). Center for Women’s Health research grant, letter of intent due Jan. 3

The OHSU Center for Women’s Health Circle of Giving is now accepting submissions for its 2014 Women’s Health Research Funding Opportunity. Circle of Giving funding is intended to support new or established investigators interested in developing innovative directions in women’s health research. Applications will be accepted from OHSU faculty at the rank of lecturer, assistant, associate or full professor. The Circle expects to award $125,000 to support one project for one year. A publication by Pei-Chun Chen, Ph.D., postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and her mentor, Show-Ling Shyng, Ph.D., has been selected as a “Paper of the Week” by the Journal of Biological Chemistry. School of Medicine Gerlinger Research Award, applications due April 18

School of Medicine faculty members are eligible to apply for up to $40,000 in funding from the Gerlinger Research Award. The award can be used for salary, equipment, or supplies. Preference will be given to research dealing with collagen disease, arthritis or DMSO. The grant cycle has been modified, and the new deadline is April 18, 2014. Access application materials.

OHSU faculty members receive Medical Research Foundation of Oregon awards

On Nov. 14, the Medical Research Foundation of Oregon announced the recipients of its 2013 awards program, which included two OHSU faculty members: Eric Orwoll, M.D., and Jennifer DeVoe, M.D. Dr. Orwoll, professor of medicine and director of the Oregon Clinical and Translational Research Institute, was honored with a Discovery Award for his influential work in male osteoporosis.
