Brown bag: Bridging Silos and Data to Improve Healthcare at OHSU, Jan. 2

The Center for Health Systems Effectiveness is hosting the first Healthcare Analytics Brown Bag on January 2 at 3 p.m. in School of Nursing room 358.  The event will bring together analysts from across campus who work to improve health care effectiveness, including people from ITG/health informatics, quality improvement, and financial services, as well as analysts who are embedded inside individual clinical departments. The meeting will kick off with a presentation by CHSE’s Lorie Jacob and kidney-transplant pharmacist Dr. Ali Olyaei on their collaboration that improved quality and significantly reduced costs for the transplant team. Their presentation is titled “Bridging Silos and Data to Improve Healthcare at OHSU: The Kidney Transplant Project.”

The Center for Health Systems Effectiveness does research to improve quality and reduce costs of health care both within OHSU and externally. For more information, visit the CHSE website.
