OHSU to host 11th Annual Global Health Student Symposium on Oct. 16

The Global Health Center is hosting the 11th Annual Global Health Symposium for students on Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Keynote speaker Maria Wulff, president of the World Affairs Council of Oregon, will talk on the subject of “Connecting Oregonians to the World.” Student travel scholarship winners will be presenting their work; attendees can expect to hear reports from Kenya, Palau, and Uganda. The symposium will begin with a reception at 5 p.m. and run until 7 p.m. in University Hospital 8B60.

Also, Conversations in Global Health, the Global Health Center’s seminar speaker series begins next Wednesday, October 2. Students can earn one hour of elective credit for attending 10 or more sessions during the academic year (October through May).
