OHSU has been invited to nominate a limited number of candidates for the newly expanded Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists. This new national competition will reward excellence by faculty members age 42 and younger in each of the following categories: Life Sciences, Physical Sciences & Engineering, and Chemistry. Each winner will receive an unrestricted cash prize of $250,000.
Because OHSU is limited to one nomination per category, we are requesting that all interested candidates and their references submit an internal application to the Office of the Vice President for Research for review. Please send a one-page rationale for nomination that explains how the candidate’s research has broadly impacted science, the candidate’s CV, and a letter of support to firstname.lastname@example.org by October 18, 2013, to be considered for institutional nomination.
