Funding Focus: A closer look at PCORI, May 16

Are you interested in patient-centered outcomes and comparative effectiveness research? Are you thinking about applying to the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute? Join us for an informal panel discussion with faculty and staff who have participated in the PCORI review process or had their work funded by a PCORI grant. The discussion will cover strategies for writing a successful PCORI grant as well as how PCORI-funded projects differ from federally funded research. The panel will take place Thursday, May 16 from 12 to 1 p.m. in Mac Hall 2201. Panelists include:

  • John McConnell, Ph.D., director, OHSU Center for Health Systems Effectiveness
  • Katie Wilkes, B.A., manager, OHSU Research Funding and Development Services
  • Vance Bauer, M.A., OCHIN research operations director
  • Sonja Likumahuwa, MID, MPH, senior research assistant at OHSU/OCHIN

This workshop is part of the Funding Focus series presented by Research Funding and Development Services, designed to share advice, tips, and general information on funding for the OHSU research community.
