Steam downtime postponed for research, academic buildings

Updated 3/11: As you may have already heard, the steam downtime scheduled for Saturday, March 9 was abruptly canceled. Facilities people arriving to begin steam repairs were diverted to the hospital firewatch duty mandated late Friday by the state fire marshal. Read more.

Updated 2/27: The steam downtime originally scheduled for this Saturday, March 2, has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 9 because the necessary parts for steam repair have been delayed in transit by the Texas/Oklahoma blizzard.

Planning for experiments next Saturday (March 9)? Be on the alert that many of the Marquam campus buildings north of Sam Jackson Parkway, including Richard Jones, Mac Hall, the Vollum, the MRB, and the BRB, will be affected by a steam shutdown from 8:00 a.m. to 10 p.m.. This means that building temperatures could be affected–as well as hot water and sterilization equipment, depending on your location.
