Career Development Workshop: A Ph.D. is Not Enough, Jan. 8

Join us for the first of the 2013 Vollum Career Development Workshops on Tuesday, January 8 at 4 p.m. in Vollum M1441. Tom Soderling, Ph.D., senior scientist at the Vollum Institute, will discuss topics that are critical to being a scientist, but are not taught as part of a Ph.D. or postdoctoral training program. Topics include how to choose the best mentors, the importance of finding balance, and defining what success means to you personally.

Postdocs, grad students, and others interested in these topics are welcome and encouraged to attend. Those who are at the West Campus or are otherwise unable to attend in-person can still watch this and all following workshops from your computer via live stream. If you are interested in streaming this or any other workshop, please contact funding@ohsu.edu.
