Advanced grant writing class for OHSU faculty starts Sept. 6

Are you an OHSU faculty member with an upcoming grant deadline? Sign up for this four-week, professional development course on grant writing. The course, taught by Rachel Dresbeck, Ph.D., will provide advanced training and extensive individual feedback to help you write better grant applications. Topics will include strategic placement of information, improving sentence structure, and revising for clarity and readability. Class sessions are complemented by four one-on-one sessions with the instructor to revise and edit the applications that participants are working on.
Prerequisites: OHSU faculty appointment or completion of Vollum Writing Class; imminent plans to write a grant and some preliminary data to write about. Suitable for experienced faculty who are writing grants in the new NIH format and for those with less experience as well.
Fall 2012 schedule: September 6, September 13, September 20, and September 27 from 4 to 6 p.m in Vollum M1443.
